Fluval 407 External Canister Filter – Up to 500L

The seventh generation of Fluval's best known canister filter range, the 407 brings strong filtration along with a set of practical upgrades. It runs 25% quieter than earlier models and is sturdier, more energy efficient, more adaptable and simpler to live with.

Suited to aquariums up to 500L, it arrives with all the media you need so it can be set up and started straight away.

Key benefits

• Fluval eTEC build, using modern design, materials and manufacturing for quiet, energy-efficient power
• Motor delivers steady pumping pressure for long-term performance, with noise cut by up to 25% versus previous models
• Uses about as little electricity as one household LED bulb
• Larger rubber feet absorb vibration and add stability and protection
• Ergonomic AquaStop valves with a raised lip seal more reliably, and dual lift-lock clamps release or attach in one action
• Reworked primer with a big easy-grip handle starts the filter in a few pumps
• EZ-Lift media baskets lift out with one finger, so there is no mess and no need to empty the canister
• Vertical pre-filter cartridge is accessed separately and gives more surface area for mechanical filtration
