Tetra Nitrate Minus 100ml

Nitrate builds up in every aquarium, and this liquid treatment helps bring those levels back down. There is no recharging or replacing as with some other nitrate reducers, and no need to put it inside the filter. You simply dose it into the tank water once a week.

It works through denitrification, a natural biological process. In low oxygen spots, such as beneath the gravel bed of most tanks, specialised bacteria use nitrate rather than oxygen to break down the granules. That steadily lowers the nitrate already present and keeps it low over time. The treatment also puts a small amount of carbonates into the water, which helps hold the pH steady.

Key benefits

• Added straight to the aquarium water, no filter placement needed
• Weekly dosing with no recharging or replacement parts
• Uses denitrification by naturally occurring bacteria to remove nitrate
• Reduces existing nitrate and keeps levels permanently low
• Releases a low level of carbonates to help stabilise pH

How to use

Add to the aquarium water weekly. It does not need to be added to a filter system to work.
