Royal Canin Mother and Babycat Dry Cat and Kitten Food

The first few months are a busy time for a kitten. Between one and four months old they go through withdrawal, the stage where mother's milk gives way to solid food, and their nutritional needs change along with it.

During this period the ability to digest lactose falls away while starch digestion improves. The immune cover passed on through the antibodies in mother's milk fades as the kitten's own defences begin to work for the first time. Baby teeth are usually all in place by the second or third month, with adult teeth starting to come through after the fourth month. This recipe was put together with those changes in mind. Royal Canin has spent more than 40 years focusing on pet health, work that led to ranges such as Health Nutrition, built on a detailed understanding of what each animal needs.
