API Prevent Algae Treatment

A liquid treatment that helps keep aquarium water cleaner and clearer by cutting back the nutrients algae rely on. It lowers phosphate levels, one of algae's main food sources, so green water, blooms and slime build-up are less likely to take hold.

It suits aquarists who prefer a proactive approach, with less maintenance and clearer water and no harsh chemicals, particularly in planted tanks or set-ups with sensitive inhabitants.

Key benefits

• Limits phosphates and other nutrients that let algae thrive
• Helps reduce green water and slows slime or hair algae
• Tackles algae at the source for better water clarity
• Safe for fish, live plants, corals and invertebrates when used as directed, following label instructions
• Works in both freshwater and marine aquariums
• Non-biocide, so it does not harm beneficial bacteria or your biological filter

How to use

Shake well and dose weekly, typically 5 ml per 40 L (about 10 gal) of aquarium water, measured with the dosing cap. Keeping to a regular routine holds algae back before it becomes a problem.
