Ammonia is one of the most toxic substances that can gather in a tank, forming from fish waste, leftover food and decaying matter. This fast-acting liquid steps in as soon as a test shows ammonia, changing it into a non-toxic form that is safer for your fish while the biological filter slowly clears it away.

It is a handy emergency option when levels spike suddenly, buying you time to settle the water quality in the aquarium again.

How to use

Added to the tank, Ammo Lock quickly locks ammonia into a safe form that will not harm fish, and the tank's biological filter then processes and removes it in its own time. Test kits will still pick up the ammonia after treatment, so keep up regular water changes and good filtration. Test the water first, and if ammonia shows, do a partial water change, then dose API Ammo Lock (typically around 5 ml per ~38 L) every couple of days until ammonia is no longer a concern.
